Psalm 37 v 34 NLT

January 16, 2009 Suzie

Today has been a hard day and just now i got to the point where I was reading a couple of blogs and found myself gettign frustrated again. I was reading a blog about seasons and how we have different seasons that we go through and right now i dont know the name of the season I am going through except that it is hard. I have a thing on my desk called His PLans For You which has little cards in it that have scripture on and you can change it to the next one (if that makes any sense?) anyway, I was reading through a couple when I cam across this one which is the NLT version for Psalm 37 v 34. It says

Don’t be impatient for the Lord to act! travel steadily along His path.

This spoke to my heart and I just had to write it on here, more as a reminder to myself. I am so impatient right now in a lot of areas of my life but I felt that through this God was saying I need to be patient and keep reading His Word. i want to walk His way. SOmetimes I wnat to give up but I know that that is the Devil attacking me, making me weak when I should be trusting God, following Him and walking in the light of His Word. Man is it hard right now.

Joyce Meyer talks about good days and growing days. Today was definitely a growing day for me too. I’m sorry it’s been such a difficult one for you too. Hey you might like this blog:

Uggh… I hate seasons like that. I wish EVERY season was Summer (spiritually as well as in the natural). But even so, He’s got victory for you. I don’t agree with the people and preachers and teachers that say that sometimes we just go through defeat and there’s nothing we can do about it. That’s not what God’s Word says. I love what my former boss says. She said that she was going through a really hard situation and God just spoke to her and said, “Listen! The game’s not over until you win! You have to play until you win.” See, no matter what we go through, God NEVER gives satan the final word. God always gets the final word. And His final word for you is victory for you and defeat for satan. Yeah, satan might think he’s winning now… he may feel like he’s knocked you down, but he better watch it. The game’s not over yet. And when it is, he’ll be the one pouting in the corner — not you!

    Cheering you on alongside God,
    Michelle

The scripture I was trying to think of that goes along with that is:
“Thanks be to God who through Christ ALWAYS causes us to triumph” (2 COR 2:14).
